Going Home​

Time is catching up with the confirmation number of my ticket,

it isn’t long now before I please put on my seatbelt.

Boy, will I miss that retro ‘R’,

24-7 service, 1-800 WHATEVER

Over a decade that has lasted for 5 years,

the common denominator – ‘goodbye’ always catches up;

I will play a game of eight-ball with my friends,

Drink budlite and watch baseball (maybe not the latter)

 

Hey, I’m going home but maybe I won’t tie the seatbelt too tight…
